I told already that we are working at a web interface similar to
packages.debian.org. Keeping asking doesn't help

whoops may have sent this directly
Anyways I am using devuan ascii and for some reason such an error does
exist. I don't know why though... I want openrc though instead and it
doesn't seem to let me install it without wiping most of my software off.

I don't see any purpose that *any* package has a libsystemd dependency
in distribution

I don't see any problem with a generic interface to the things that
libsystemd does , if one could be arrived at, or if the current API is
sufficiently generic.

I think that one fails the syntax test on package names. I don't think spaces
are
allowed.
In any case, libsystemd0 is not an

Maybe rmadison (devscripts) would help you?
For example:
-
[dragan@trios-eudev][~/Desktop]$ rmadison -u ubuntu -a amd64 libsystemd0
libsystemd0
But it has the name libsystemd0! It should be called The Init Library That
Must Not Be Named. :-)

Actually, I would be quite happy to have systemd on my Devuan system, as
long as it wasn't acting as the init. Think of it as a virtual paperweight.

The presence of libsystemd0, albeit annoying,
how does one remove that package without removing anything else?
I mean how do you remove it from being depended on by nearly every bit
of software...
I want to install openrc so that is why I ask...

The list of all available packages in the repos you have in
/etc/apt/sources.list can be found in /var/lib/apt/lists. To visualise
that list (without

Tom was asking about versions of packages, and I think some others.

I use the list that was provided to distrowatch.com !!
It can be downloaded as a text file and then 'searched' in your editor.

I wouldn't be surprised if the ASCII list was outdated - and that may be
what Tom is looking for.

Hi,
upgraded two file server last week from debian wheezy to devuan jessie.
Nearly everthing worked smooth on upgrading.
Something is wrong with 'libc-bin'. On each operation with apt-get I'm
getting following error:
The following packages will be upgraded:
libgcrypt20
1 packages upgraded, 0
