Is there a tool in Openbox or X that I can use to display a window while
a combination of one or more keys on the keyboard are being held down
and then hide it again when the keys are released? Kind of like the
window switching dialog.

Thanks! It seems I will have to look at going down that route after all.

Thanks for the input! My target machine is an anchient feature phone
that supports mp3 and AAC only. Its limited storage space combined with
a speaker that does not make high bitrates justice tells me that AAC is
the best choise of codec in this case.

;base' 'good' 'bad'
'ugly') - doing the usual guesswork and then trying to find info
online :) - but AAC does not present itself as an available target
encoding.
What package do I need to install in order to make AAC available? Should
I perhaps be using some
! :)
Some reasearch indicated that the above commands would not be of any use
and I have so far been unable to find any other suggestions online. The
time has come to ask you guys. What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks!

lol! :D
The shellshock incident wasn't a big incident for me. Prompt patching
can save your day many times over. Thank God bash is supported by the
community and not ${Corporations[$RANDOM]}!

same functionality missing in both cases. Do any of you guys
know what functionality this is and if there is a way to make it
available in Iceweasel or Chromium on Devuan?
Hope it's not some proprietary crap!

Good looking and well built website!
I think that the contents of the menu and the footer should be kept inside the

This is a gem! I don't know how many times I have accidentally brushed at the
touchpad while typing and moved the cursor to somewhere it shouldn't be or
deleted text. Maybe one could write a daemon that disables the touchpad n
seconds after the any-key has been pressed... :)

/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf and unloading/reloading
psmouse.ko did the trick. I am not sure wether the kernel upgrade made any
difference and I am not very inclined to downgrade atm. :)
All the best!

I doubt that my hardware is too new. It is a Dell Latitude E6410 that I bought
second hand a couple of years ago. :)
How would I go about upgrading to a backported kernel? Is there a repo
somewhere I can use or do I need to build it myself?
