i converted a dhcp3 configuration to dnsmasq.
The strange thing is that now some of the devices acquire a address and
shows the supplied information but i can't connect to them outside the
subnet.
When i switch to dhcpcd3 these devices are reachable again
Dnsmasq is 2.52 on ubuntu

Setting
dhcp-host=00:12:20:21:bd:*:*:ip,net:xxx
was accepted without complaints about the malformed mac address

i have trouble with my windows pcs and the dhcp in dnsmasq.
When ever one machine acquired a ip from the dhcp pool it never get
assigned a ip bound to its name or mac address.
I explicitly released the address and re acquired it but still no go-

i examined the following behavior with the lease time.
When i reload my settings in dnsmaqs it seems that any changes in lease
time will be ignored.
Only when i restart dnsmasq will send the correct lease time.

Normally the box has the ip 192.168.2.252 and the hostname druckserv3
