As I read the DocBook the numbered sections COULD be numbered but don't
have to be. If they are numbered then an obvious hierarchy is generated.
If they are not numbered then the converted output would look like
unnumbered sections.
Can you list the quotes? TIA.
Correct.

Øyvind,
I'm sure someone far more knowledgable will also respond but here's my
input.
1. HTML is very limited in the elements that it provides so your large
selection of elements in XML source files must be mapped to the fewer
selection of elements in HTML.
2 and 3. To change how your XML is
Hello,
Here's my 2 cents worth. There are no set rules as to when to use
numbered sections versus unnumbered sections, it really depends on your
document and the audience. Trends change, and for some reason numbered
sections fell out of favor.

I think numbered sections (like sect1) aren't as common now as
they once were, with nested sections being used more, but that's
just an impression I have. I don't know how accurate it is.
I see; I could simply use section elements and none of sect[1-5].
That's news to me

Hi
My document is structured like this :
Book
Chapter
sect1
sect2
sect3
/sect3
/sect
/sect1
/Chapter
/book
When building html and html_chunks, Book crates a H1 tag, Chapter and
sect1 creates H2, sect2 creates H3 etc.

Hi!
I am maintaining a long FAQ list (RU.LINUX FAQ).
It was done with DocBook XML + XSL.
It is really big list, so, I use chunked-html to store
all HTML parts separately. It works fine with
tags (one HTML per section).
I've found special tags for FAQs :
e.t.c. It looks very good for me.
