I use the defaulty configuration of docbook that comes with Debian and when
I generate a PDF document using db2pdf I do not get any error messages. But
opening the document in Acrobat 5 then complains about that the PDF is
corrupt. Anybody else having this problem?

I want to create a segment containing a text and a picture like this :
The example text
And when I then render a pdf from this I want this block to stick together
so that there will not be a linebreak in the middle of a block. Could anyone
tell me how to do this?

I am newbie and trying to understand this docbook stuff. An from the
www.docbook.org I took an example of a document as you can see below and
trying to process it with openjade with no luck. I run this :
openjade -t sgml -E 2 -d $SGML_SHARE/dsssl/html/docbook.dsl article.xml
And all I get out is
to
give the rest of the people having problems som tips ...
Thanks for all the help,
Fredrik

Thanks Jonathan that got me a bit started but I still get a couple of
hundred error messages each time I try to do anything. Do you have any real
simple testfile to just test out the system you can point me to?
Cheers,
Fredrik

I am fighting to be able to get started in writing a docbook document on my
Linux Slackware and after following like 400 tutorials and guides later I
still can not make it work. I am trying to set up an sourceinstallation ( no
RPMs etc. ) but can't understand what files like docbook-dsssl-1.72.tar
have anyone documented in a step-by-step description how they have set up
their own system please send me a copy...

Fredrik Eriksson
