I would suggest to use Emacs with PSGML, or jEdit (Java based)
(http://www.jedit.org) . The later supports XML though a plugin. If you
wait a day or two, you can download jEdit 4.1pre6 and the XML plugin
ver. 0.6, which supports XML Catalogs.

Saxon does not support XInclude natively, and it is properly the Parser,
you should associate XInclude with. It looks as if the Xerces people don't
have any intension supporting XInclude any time soon.

reference is resolved to the physical path (when usibg XSLT with the HTML
stylesheets), due to the XSL processors use of unparsen-entity-url.
