I believe this is my problem on Debian with XHTML 1.1. They have the
catalog files/DTDs in the search path but it says it can't find them.

One minor correction to the jadetex installation documentation:
before "make install" you must run mktexlsr if you have just built
"hugelatex". Otherwise, make exits with an error about not knowing
where hugetex.fmt is.

- s in 'normal' text (e.g. inside a ) work like
expected and produce an entry in den index with correct page numbers.

Hello,
when using docbook xsl sheets docbook.xsl creates one large file including
TOCs in it. When using chunk.xsl it splits it up but there are no TOCs. Is
this still under development or do I have to create this myself?

That did the trick. Of course, we had to modify each of "appendix",
"sect1", "sect2" ... to get all those elements as well. And we had to
include the common/dblen.ent as an entity to have all the entities
resolve, using this line at the top of our customized stylesheet:

Title: PassiveTex problems
I use the newest XSL docbook stylesheets together with PassiveTex and have several problems (saxon or xalan XSL processor):
1) error messages in Tex, when processing the resulting fo file:
--Illegal unit of measure (pt inserted)
--(to be read again)
--l.301
