w. XSLT is designed to transform XML documents into other
XML documents, and any attempt to make XSLT generate non-XML output is
extremely troublesome, and in some cases XSLT will not allow you to make
certain output constructions that you need to do because they violate the
rules of XML.

If you're wondering what this is, it's a literate programming system I'm
developing.

Personally I think it's a kinda silly policy to bundle binaries of ALL
dependenices, but I guess it helps, *if* you've got a lot of bandwidth!

N mirror (since you're in Germany,
from your email address, ftp.dante.de should do fine) and go to the
tex-archive/systems/texlive directory there:

And finally, how do I get the MathML DTD parsed by my DocBook document?
Entities like defined there cause errors when I try to
use them.

This happens with the XSL stylesheets, FO output, the generated PDF has
those same characteristics whether converted to PDF by means of FOP

t's how
UTF-8 works...it's supposed to be Unicode rewritten to use 8-bit
characters as much as possible... Just don't try doing any of the
alt- sequences under Windows or with that option enabled on
X though. I guess Emacs will automatically translate those kinds of
inputs into proper UTF
Has anyone ever gotten Xalan 2.1.0 to compile the docbook stylesheets into
Java translets?

tor, but someday I think I'm going to have to make a presentation
that will have to be printed on acetate for an old-fashioned overhead

about
DSSSL, because I don't have a working version of Jade or some other DSSSL
processor installed.
And one other thing: I think that the text should not be full
justified, but right justified or centered. Long titles like the one
above appear quite ugly when they get rendered to PDF.

. This does not happen with Saxon,
or with Xalan using the HTML stylesheet. What could be the problem? Is
this a bug with Xalan?
