I've solved most of my customization problems thanks to you guys. There's
still one annoying problem though. I've searched the archives, but didn't
find anyone with my problem. Funny if it's just me having this problem...
When there's no space enough left for a table entry at the bottom of the
Howdy!
I have my main document written in DocBook. I want to add a copyright notice
to the end of the document and the notice exists as a PDF file. Is there a
tag in DocBook for including PDF files into the document?
If there is no tag I guess it's possible to produce a PDF of my main document
What's wrong with the table below? I want the table to be 2x3 and so it is. I
also want the "Host-to-network" entry to span both rows, but I don't succeed.
There is still a border drawn between first and second row in column 3.
What am I doing wrong? (using DSSSL 1.72 and sgml->tex->pdf)

This was quite a neat solution. I should have thought of this :-)
It's not the best solution, but it's kinda quick and easy.

If I have a very long string it won't be broken down to two or more lines,
the last part just dissapears outside the paper (or pdf). I have this:
$ snmpwalk hostname communitystring
host.hrSWInstalled.hrSWInstalledTable.hrSWInstalledEntry.hrSWInstallName
The last part in the last string will b

Gracias! That worked nicely, th
Is it possible to decrease the space before an itemizedlist?
dblists.dsl contains:

I don't want "Chapter" to appear in all the chapter titles. In dbparam.dsl I
found:
(define %chap-app-running-head-autolabel% #t)
I changed to #f, but it had no effect. How can I remove "Chapter" from the
titles?
As a solution I also tried to add label="" to all tags, but that

Hi, I've managed to make some customization of my document, like changing
body and subtitle font and changing the depth of headlines shown in the Toc
as well as numbering all sections. I did all this by myself ;-)
But there are a few more settings I wanna do that I can't manage.
1. A headline
I'm no DSSSL guru (at least not yet) and I'd like the preface not to be shown
in the ToC. I'm using the 1.72 DSSSL stylesheets.
Is there an easy way to change this?
Thanks,
Tim

Ah, yes it worked, had no idea about this. The books and tutorials I've read
haven't mentioned this, so thanks!!

Hi, the table of contents in my document shows mostly '??' instead of page
numbers, but some page numbers are actually shown. I decided to see if I had
any tag errors, so I made a new small file, but it shows the same thing.
This little SGML file below results in a TOC showing these ??. The PDF
Hi, I've got a problem. When I write
1016 the 16 won't be shifted up. The 16 becomes
smaller but the baseline is still the same as for 10. It looks like in the
figure at http://mclim.dnsq.org/~tim/superscript.jpg
This might not be a DocBook error, but rather a LaTeX error as the figure
