You can also control resolution item by item with the "-density" option of the 
"convert" program. The "-geometry" option controls the size and between these two 
options you can get your jpg or png to be whatever size and resolution you choose. 
pdfjadetex reads this information from each graphic file and uses it accordingly. 
Don't know whether this approach clashes with the "image_resolution" option in 
jadetex.cfg.
