I need some kind of IDE for editing the DocBook stylesheets.
It should be OpenSource, or at least freeware.
Since I use PSGML to edit the DocBook source, it should be a
minor mode for emacs.
so i've tried xslt-process, but i couldn't get it running.

You can try xslide major mode. It does syntax highlighting,
