I have given CG7102-Enter, Edit, and Format Data a first review.
As there were non to minor functional changes from the 7.0 guide, there
were not many changes to the guide.

That was what I have always thought. Just do the major releases like
LO7, LO8 and so on. Then just do an addendum for any significant
changes in between. Otherwise it seems like we are just chasing our
tail, like my dog does, and she seldom catches her tail.

Hi Team
I strongly oppose to this approach.
Catching up a full version demands a lot of effort and delays the
availability of the Guides much after the release of the software.
We had a lot of work to bring our documentation from release 4.x to 5.x
and now 7.x . We had to skip some releases

Hello Olivier,
Considering your arguments, we need, at least, to think about reducing the
cycle review for minor releases reviews.
Kees has a point about the few number of changes in the software to
implement in the guides, and, in my opinion, giving the same treatment for
major and minor releases
I’ve not had time to research this probable bug or misunderstanding.
Perhaps someone here knows.
In LO 7.1, on the Templates dialog is a new “Extensions” button which is
supposed to open a window populated by templates from the Extensions
website. It is described in the Release Notes.

Hello everyone!
Here's my take on this subject.
I believe that when updating the guides to minor releases (7.1 to 7.4) we
should focus exclusively on the aspects listed in the Release Notes. Hence,
we should take the previously published version (say 7.0 now) and update
only chapters and sections
I have checked out several chapters of the Writer Guide to update from 6.4
to 7.1. I am finding many small changes in the dialogs as well as new
features, even between versions 7.0 and 7.1. The small changes are usually
not mentioned in the Release Notes, so I need to compare each screenshot

Regarding updating guides for minor releases, I do not agree with focusing
exclusively on things in the Release Notes. I am finding some differences
between Writer v7.0 and 7.1 that I consider important for users but are too
minor for the release notes.
I do agree that in most cases only one revi
I had started earlier this year on updating the Writer Guide from v6.4
to v7.0, but as that was delayed I changed to updating to v7.1.
Reading discussions on this list, I wonder if I should return to
working on v7.0 first? I don't mind either way.
What do people think?

I suggested writing an accessibility guide last week. Do I just get started on

I think, since 7.1 is already released, we can stick to 7.1.
