Eric talks of what's wrong with the battery side, the flaws with the
software and UI are a bit of a given. And then what could be different.
I've pondered a UPS now and again and never commit; there just doesn't
seem to be a well regarded one aimed at the home user. If there was a
home-brew where the workings could be seen and understood then I'd be
more likely, and I'm probably not alone.
