Been thinking about some form of password security for a while but don't
know what software is right to use
Anybody got any thoughts?

The FLOSS http://keepass.info/ for Windows has been around for a long
time. And https://www.keepassx.org/
Personally, I don't trust passwords "managers" - what happens if they are
hacked too?
I have made my own Android app, where it creates a password from 3
memorable words, and I have a "scheme" to decide on the memorable words
based on the website/service name. The passwords aren't stored anywhere,

True. I use gpg(1) with a passphrase, but I realise that's not for
everyone. :-) Something else I do when setting passwords for others
that need to be relayed is to pick from a limited set tha
