*Data Stage guy with Oracle experience*. Basically client is looking who can
have & do the following :
- Unix shell scripting ( not just running batch jobs ) Unix
understanding – they will want to know your experience with Scripting (Perl,
Shell, etc.) and then your overall understanding of the operating system and
commands. They are a huge IBM shop, so AIX and Linux will be discussed. Need
a person who can write Unix Shell scripting from scratch.
- Advanced Data stage understanding. Data Stage and a thorough
understanding of the basics. What is difference between a ash and round
robin in data stage? They also mention being able to do low level design
work and development. (I am not sure exactly what that means, but comes
directly from Manager). I believe that they are running versions 7.X and
8.x.
- Oracle skills – Stored procedures, Triggers, Functions Joins,
complex SQL Queries, etc. Advanced SQL.
- Verbal Communication
