Title: Systems Analyst Start Date: ASAP Location: Foster City, CA Duration: 1 year Note: Local candidates preferred REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE The main function of a business systems analyst is to analyze science, engineering, business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. A typical business systems analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations. Specialized knowledge: · Ability to manipulate data within MVS/ZOS, UNIX, and Windows. · Also extensive experience with ETL systems is required, specifically within Ab Initio · Finally, experience with large system ETL is required. Education/Experience o Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred. o 10+ years experience required 0 5+ years of Visa experience is necessary, preferably on the Authorization processing side. Responsibility level o Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor Skills o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills (Required) o Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required) o Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required) o Expert knowledge of design techniques and principles involved evaluating database systems(Required) Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: o Analyze the current EU FTL process 0 Create design document and supporting analysis for this application o Advise clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs o Advise management on current system principles and necessary updates and recommendations o Validate that the business requirements are matching to the various phases of implementation (e.g., PD, CD, and the rest of the SDLC) o Perform detailed data analysis in support of the various projects. o Generate interim reports that show progress to date o Represent, as the technical SME, the various projects.
