Job Title: *Data Architect* Location: *Raleigh**, NC* Duration: *Contract or contract to hire or full time hire* Start Date: *Immediate* We are using the ER Studio tools Business Architect and Data Architect to document the business process and data models. So experience with these tools is a plus. *Role:* Data Architect *Role Description:* The Data Architect will support the PTS Blueprint Blitz program, serving under the direction of the IT and Business Leaders and Program Management within the core Program team. The modeler will work in a coordinated manner with the program office and subject matter expert (SME) participants to facilitate discussions and express business rules/requirements through conceptual process and information models. They will help clarify and document the relationships between information, process, systems, and reporting models. This will include development of key work stream deliverables and collaboration across other related work streams and initiatives. *Responsibilities:* 1. Work with program team, SMEs and business analysts to identify and express business requirements through deliverables that may include overview PTS process and information flow map, conceptual level entity relationship diagrams, mappings of information to process, information to system, and process to system. 2. Facilitate working sessions with participants with a range of business and IT experiences and perspectives in a manner that is engaging and pragmatic. Resulting documentation needs to be accepted and used by all of these stakeholders 3. Provide analytical, problem solving, organizational, modeling discipline and documentation skills required to create core deliverables 4. Contribute strong communication skills(verbal and written) and ability to work in complex environments to ensure products are supported by all key stakeholders 5. Work with program team to define appropriate fit-for-purpose standards for documentation 6. Conduct data analysis and create information and data profiles and mappings. Build conceptual and very high level logical models – capturing the relationships between processes, systems, information and data 7. Create information and data dictionaries 8. Contribute to data model review sessions (with core team, stakeholders, sponsors and steering committee). Able to communicate effectively with business and technical audiences 9. Provide external perspectives and consider specific requirements for shaping standards related to Data Management, e.g. MDM, Data Aggregation, use of Industry standards 10. Contribute to dialogs with business and IT data owners to identify the processes for ongoing maintenance of PTS models and interfacing data models 11.
