*Locals are highly preferred* *Looking for a “Sr Oracle Developer” in Los Angeles, CA* *Duration: 3 to 4 Months* *JOB DESCRIPTION: * This position is for an application developer with strong hands-on SQL skills. The role will require coding, analyzing, and debugging Oracle PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and packages for data conversion and general data analysis *REQUIRED SKILLS:* · Oracle developer with *Minimum 7+ yrs of experience* is required. · Strong experience with *Oracle 9i, 10g, and preferably Sybase* · Demonstrated strong, hands-on experience developing *SQL procedures for data conversion and transformation* (from a Sybase legacy source database to a Oracle target database) · Strong experience in creating, updating, and debugging structured *PL/SQL* queries, stored procedures and packages · Ability to plan, create, and execute test scenarios to validate bulk data conversion scenarios · Good working knowledge of *common data modeling concepts*(database normalization / denormalization, entity relationships, cardinality, inner/outer joins, sub-types/super-types, etc) · Strong data analysis skills within *MS Excel* (e.g. vlookups, pivot tables, complex formulas and filtering, etc) · Working knowledge of performing data analysis within *MS Access* (e.g. MS Access table and query design views) · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Experience in Change and Service request deployment in Production environment. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dot Net Discussions" group.
