I think the problem is their lack of overloaded constructors. I made a
suggestion two releases back to perhaps improve on this. Just got 1.5 and
haven't looked to see if they included any new constructors...

I know I am being picky here, but if one were to follow the vb.net structure, wouldn't
clm = cv.Columns.Add() be clm = cv.NewColumn or cv.CreateColumn (much like the
XMLDoc.CreateElement)? This .Add() with nothing in the brackets is just confusing.
Oh BTW, this is from one of their examples.

I'm sorry you are not having a good experience. My experience with
DevExpress has been very positive. Their quality, features and value
seem to out-shine the larger vendors(we are using the COM components
suite in C++ and VB). I agree that support sometimes takes a while and
