Thanks everyone who contributed to this message. I am going to use TLS
on my Postfix / Dovecot server and just hope for the best. Now if I
use TLS, is this configured in my Postfix config files or Dovecot
config files?
When TLS occurs and my SSL certificate is used, I am assuming that I
need to add
Dovecot-1.1.15 assert-fails frequently. Attached are some errors from
the logs, and a stack trace from the common panic. Hope you can fix
these soon. Thanks.

Hello. I'm wondering how one would go about configuring dovecot to
invoke pam_setcred() from the same process as (or a parent process of)
the process which eventually reads the user's mail off the disk. This
is required for pam modules that set kernel-level credentials which
are later used to ac

Hi,
The LDAP Plugin fails to build (it doesn't attempt to build it) in
1.2.rc7 because $have_ldap_plugin is checked before it's assigned in
configure.in. Patch attached. This was not a problem in 1.2.rc6 and
earlier versions.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi,
is there a recommended groupware (email + calendar + address book +
syncing with mobile devices) on top of an existing dovecot installation?
Most existing commercially supported groupwares come with their own mail
storage engine. I would like to keep dovecot as the email storage engine

The ManageSieve patch for rc5 applies to rc7, but doesn't build.
The problem is obvoiusly that dovecot-managesive/src/managesieve-login/client.c
tests:
#if CLIENT_LOGIN_IDLE_TIMEOUT_MSECS >= AUTH_REQUEST_TIMEOUT*1000
# error client idle timeout must be smaller than authentication timeout

Dear list,
I?m running a postfix (2.5.6) / Dovecot (1.1.11) on a Centos 5.2 box.
I?ve written a small gui application to simply create Out of Office
replys with sieve. The resulting code did work with maildrop without any
problems. Now sieve fails when it meets any german umlauts like ä or ü.
