Err...! I thought it is matching the API commands, instead, matching
doveadm cli commands.
Thanks you so much,
Ronald

Hello, having difficulty setting up a 'secure-only' service on a
non-standard port.
Objective is to open a secure Dovecot service on an internet-visible
port, while also using an insecure service for hosts on an internal

Hi All,
I'm running Dovecot 1.2.9 and have noticed the IMAP list command does
not appear to send a sorted list of folders with list command. For
example on our Cyrus server I get a sorted list of folders (with INBOX
listed first):

ser isn't using two
clients at the same time? I found that this became a problem over NFS
when a user was using both a webmail interface and a standard client
eg Thunderbird on the same account.
Where does Dovecot put the INDEX? My problem disappeared as soon as I
set INDEX=MEMORY.

It seems as if the flock does not have any effect on the corrupting of the
transaction logs. Additionally, I would not be prepared to use dotlock as
its performance is detrimental to the server's load at busy times.

Well, I am actually using ext3, how do you suspect this might affect the
reliability of the transaction log?

I've addressed the issue temporarily by putting the index in memory by the
:INDEX=MEMORY as opposed to a static file. This isn't ideal, but it seems to
save the system going up in arms.
Is there an alternative to using this system?
