Hi all Dovecotters,
Lots of programs (e.g, PHP) link to a library called c-client, which is
a derivative of the original IMAP implementation, UW IMAP.
(For those new to UW IMAP, read here: http://www.washington.edu/imap/ )
UW IMAP is not in as much of active development as it used to be, so I

Hello!
I think, if you keep maildirs by different uid then you must change file
permissons to permit access to shared maildir.
I don`t now about procmail delivery options, but in dovecots "deliver" -
if you create in shared maildir file called "dovecot-shared", than
deliver will keep permission

With v1.2 this would be somewhat easier I think, because it allows you
to create new user structures, look up their home dirs (by querying
dovecot-auth) and calculate their quotas. But you'd still need a way to
get a list of usernames who share the quota.
All of this is actually related to "do
Well.. With dict quota you could already do this, but quota
recalculation wouldn't work right. Quota recalculation shouldn't happen

guess..

Since I could issue an LDAP query for

home directory paths, and associated mailDirSize files, I wonder if I
could extend dovecot to allow us to handle shared quota like the
fs-quota used to work.

About the dovecot-shared file, the wiki says :
"Unless you're using a single UID for all the users, you'll need to have a
dovecot-shared file in each shared maildir. The group and the file

for new files inside the maildir are taken from the dovecot-shared file."
Hello list,
We are in the process of exploring the idea of moving from UFS with
fs-quota to using softquotas in Dovecot (probably Maildir type, stored
in LDAP, all ontop of NFS).
I have it setup, and it works rather well so far.
But there is one situation we can currently support, which I c
