I use SlimBrowser. It is tabbed browser that uses IE as its backbone. My settings are reuse=0 and launch=1. New searches always open in a new tab for me. One thing did cause a problem for me though. I installed the Google IE toolbar (the one that fits in the toolbar area not the taskbar area).

I use the Tabbrowser Extensions extension in Firebird to force links to open in the same Firebird window, but in new tabs. It's kind of an extreme solution to the problem, but it does work. (Of course, it means that even popup windows open in the same window as a new tab, which is weird, but, w
