is happening on ALL my machines, in just past few days. If I try to use DQSD, it seems to work fine - until I then try to click any link in the IE window launched by DQSD, whereupon Explorer crashes immediately. These are all XP-SP1 professional, and the only configuration change to any (and all) of them is the Windows Update patches Shawn was referring to: --October 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB828750) --Security Update for Windows Media Player (KB828026) These were applied to my machines last Saturday. So my immediate suspicion is that there's a direct causal link. I haven't noticed any other lost functionality among numerous other add-ons I use with IE or Windows Explorer, but it's only been a couple of days since the patches were applied, so maybe I just haven't stumbled upon them yet. Uninstalling and reinstalling DQSD doesn't help, either. FWIW, John Donovan ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
