You will have to replace the 9.59 MHz reference crystal with
a 9.6 MHz crystal in the FS-4. The connector on the
receiver end of the cable from the FS-4 is different, but I
think it can be made to work as-is. The reason for this is
that while the R-4 Series uses crystals that are 11.
Here is one for the 'Engineering' Drakesters.
Can the sidetone audio PITCH be lowered when operating CW with the T4Xc? V9A
is the sidetone oscillator. The OEM pitch is about 1,000 cycles, a pitch not
too comfortable for lots of us older folks. If I could get the pitch down
between 500 and 700 cyc
I recently acquired a FS-4 that is setup to use with the SPR-4. Apparently
Drake had a kit to do this. Does anyone know what was in the kit? Also I
would like to reverse the change so as to use the FS-4 with a C-line.
