Just want to say that my first post to the Drake List was responded to within
the first 5 minutes.
I had what I needed in less than 10minutes !
This is an outstanding resource for the Drake Amateur products.

The TR-7(A) should cover 1.5 to 30 MHz continuous with the AUX PROGRAM
switch in the NORM position.

I've buyed a second hand TR7A transceiver with a small problem:
When I change the BAND I can move the AUX PROGRAM selector in position 1
and after in NORMAL for the appropriate band change.
Please help me.

The color of Sylvania tubes had to do with were they "AFTERMARKET" or
"ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT." The tubes were the same, just how they were purchased .

Howard you really need to get a copy of the Drake CD or a printed copy of the
manual, it will save you from blowing something up or hurting yourself.
There not that expensive and available from some of the guys here on the
reflector.

The twist-lock cans are certainly suspect, although there are a couple
of others as well. Best approach is the replacement caps from
'hayseedhamfest.com'. Tom has a complete kit that replaces all
electrolytics, including fit and finish twist locks. It better be a

the sound of the wider bandpass, the signals are lots stronger now.
