Richard, Great Question, It does not appear to make a difference , same results driving into dummy load as antenna (& tuner) or the untuned input to the Dentron Clipperton-L amplifier.I have a wattmeter at the input to the amplifier and a seperate one at  the output of the amplifier. Don
