I would HIGHLY recommend the Hayseed kits, and have done the under chassis trick in the past as well. The kits are clean, and looks original. I have had excellent luck with them, and you have revived the gear for another 30 to 50 years in the process! Tom's kits look and work as advertised,

Darrel - The HayseedHamfest caps are ALL NEW construction, including the can, phenolic washer and terminals. The internal caps are 105 degree rated. They are drop-in replacements down to the terminal indicators. Definitely the best 'almost official' replacement. 73, Garey - K4OAH Glen
