I have replaced several switches by prying off the bad one, and installing a
new switch by trimming back the mounting tabs, and tack soldering it on. There
are a few different styles of switches so you will need to locate the correct

Anyone running the TR7 on 60 meters? If so...
-how are you making sure you keep w/i the 50 watt PEP limit?
-is the factory TR7 audio bandwidth w/i the 2.8 Khz channel limitation?
-do you just tune 1.5Khz below center channel?
-anything else?

OK, decided today to align my T-4XC.
According to the manual, RF Mixer stage trimmer alignment
sectionthe T5 T4 need to be de-tuned before peaking the front 2
trimmers.
Is this really neccessary? or can I just peak for max drive on all
trimmers??

OK, discovered something else...looks like Drake aligned the tuning
rack based on a RED DOT coils form set.
The brown glyptol is intact.
But, My coils do not have any dots on them...did they go away? Or did

I assume you mean 3/64. It's also possible that someone has been 'fixing' the pointer adjustment
too!! I would NOT change anything and just go with where they are.
I've seen them with 'red' on the top of the core and on the bottom of the core. I don't know what

and switch the AC-4 with a power strip or other external means.

You should adjust for the correct current. That said, the meter is at best
difficult to read accurately.
The better way is to measure the voltage drop across the cathode resistors. R32
and R33 on my T4XB schematic. First see that they are both still 15 ohms, if
not replace. Then
