Hello guys! A friend of mine has a TR-4 that tunes up perfect puts out full
output but with a known to be good mic is connected it has no modulation at
all. He changed all the tubes from another known to be working TR-4 and no
change! any ideas what could be wrong? Dan

Does the TR-7 have a fuse on the
inside somewhere? I accidentally touched the upper right peg, from the back,
with the positive lead, on the dc input plug and now the TR-7 will not turn on.
I can't imagine anything major could happen that easy. There must be some kind
of fuse somewhere
Evan you are right it is the power supply! unfortunately I don't have a
large enough supply to test it to see if it is damaged! I hooked up a 1 amp
supply and it light the s-meter amp very dimly which is normal for that lack
amps but I can't tell if the radio is ok as of yet but at least it

those emergency 12 voltbattpower packs that jumps a car and the

The SW-4 uses the same offset as the SPR-4. I plugged a R-4C
cb crystal in the SW-4 and it was so close I didn't even have to adjust the
skirt! Beats me why they make them different the dial can more than make the
difference anyway! Alot of stock crystals are off that much from each other so
