I have replaced the two can capacitors in my Drake R4C (using the Hayseed Hamfest product) which has dramatically reduced the hum in the receiver audio. There is still a little bit of hum, and I have a few more electrolytics to replace (6 or 7 ). The receiver has the regulated 12 V modification and the Sherwood audio amplifier installed. I have only had the R4C for a short time and am pretty inexperienced in radio repair/restoration.
I am curious if anyone on the list knows of a pictorial of the bottom of an R4C that may point out the location of the various electrolytic capacitors?
