Dave, You don't need a "box" at all to hook up the R-4C/T-4XC as long as you have the cables between them. Now as per the SPR-4 to work with the T-4XC the SPR-4 needs the TA-4 board in it. This is the station that I have setup. More info on the TA-4 board is on the Drake musuem web site at: http:/
