OK ; Here's a loaded question for the TR7 Pros out there... Adjust Mic Gain
to make the ALC Green light come on ...
Leaves something to be interpreted..Is it to flicker slightly on voice peaks or
come on full and fade away when finished speaking?? .
I have had success with the rig on SSB
Tell me all about the Bias adjustment I make on my 4 line power supply. Please,
what voltage am I adjusting and to what preferred voltage? I have a few T4X's,
B and C's and the meter isn't the same at Zero on any of them.So my adjusting
the Bias with the stock meter movement may not be quite
The XYL gave me a TR7 for a Valentine's Day gift the other day.I have been
getting used to it and have been making CW contacts on 40m with it. Questions
that I have are: Where is there an adjustment for Side Tone Volume and Side
Tone Pitch? I figured if there are such adjustments they may well
Hi Drakelist Gang ; Got a really sweet 2B receiver from a Drake List
contributor a couple of weeks ago. What a great little rig! Not much to look
at, never made a matching transmitter to go with it, but the 2BQ is a really
nice addition to it's performance. The 2B's really can dig out the
68uf most popular and should work.

Hi Guys ; Considering a fully functional TR-3 from the owner of 15yrs. I've
been invited to try it on the air at his shack before I take it.
Being a relative newbie to Drake equipment, is there any particular areas to
consider with the TR3 other than the obvious and general operating condition?
Have to agree with Rick..Perhaps you have a better RF Pre-Amper to put in
series with the rig? 73 de n8aft Lanr.

Upgraded the AC4 supply with filter ckt board mod, all works as it should.I
have noticed the bias adjustment will vary from when I first start up the
radio. I have De-ox'ed the bias pot.How much variance is normal? Is it best to
err on the low or higher side of the target bias current? I have
