First off, the 6EH5 runs very hot, normally. That said, there are
failure modes that can make it run even hotter! :-)
Resistance readings of power leads aren't of much use, generally.
Depend upon meter type, range used, polarity of leads, condition of
electrolytics, etc., etc
I recently replaced V7 and now I see that the new one is struggling as well.
Very hot and as time goes on receiver gets noisy. I measured the resistance of
the socket and noted pin 6 at 5K ohms versus the spec'd 15K ohms. Any
suggestions on where to look? Thank. Russ
