Does it have a couple of RCA jacks, vertical, next to the power
connector that are unlabeled? If so it may have been modified for use
with the TC-2/6 or other transverter.
If so, these jacks are used to interrupt the PA Screen voltage, and will

I'd check the B+ dropping resistor that goes to the plate of the driver
tube. Don't have the skem handy, but I think it's close to the
"bulkhead" between the driver and the finals. It's a half watter, and
just on the margin, they get warm and drift high in value, could even be

I am troubleshooting a T4XB I picked up at a local hamfest. Symptom is no
output, power supply works on another tx, finals draw bias current and respond
to bias pot, all tubes test good, can hear the
