I have been given a TR-4 that a young ham had been attempting to replace the power switch/volume control and gain control. He thinks he rewired it wrong initially because prior to this attempt he states that the radio had a great deal of volume and now even with the control at max it is acting as if it is barely turned on. Not being all that great at troubleshooting would someone venture a guess as you what he may have done wrong. If we are to assume the worst case scenario I would assume that is the 120volt going into the audio section where would you suggest looking? I am doing this to learn more about troubleshooting as well as the young fellow was afraid someone would make fun of him hear. I assured him that it would be in good fun if anyone did.
