Drakelist, I have been noticing that my Band crystals are off on several bands on my T4XC. After checking their freq with a 'sniffer' cable next to the oscillator circuit, I found the the 40m, 15m, and 10B crystals were way off. I got an order off to ICM for 40 and 15. I was also wondering what my R4B crystals looked like. After checking the same way, all of those were fairly close(less that a KC off). But......the 15m and 10B(second 1/2 mc of 10 meters) didn't oscillate at all. Then I disconnected my FS4 from the aux crystal bank and all was great. Is this normal? I guess if you have an FS4, you don't need crystals. Which is why I pulled mine out at that time to use in my transmitter. I have the FS4 attached properly as it is described in the manual, so does it normally load down the oscillator enough to kill it with the Synth cable connected? Only 15 and 10 meters is effected in this way. The other bands are OK. Has anyone noticed this situation? Ski-WB8YXI SW MI
