Needs to be low capacity cable, as short as possible, (12-18"). RG-62A/U, RG-59/U, Belden 8421 Mic
cable, etc. 14 - 18 pF/ft.
The center conductor needs to be plugged into ANY crystal socket, to the pin that is 'common' to all
the others. Typically the bottom pin of each crystal sock
What cable can be used instead of the original Drake cable for the FS-4 -> R4A?
Can any crystal socket be used?

I am not aware that the cable for the FS-4 is anything special. My FS-4 has a piece of RG-58 that is about 16" long with a RCA plug on one end and a base from a crystal on the other, and that has worked just fine. The manual states that the original cable was 20" long for convenient placem

I have a FS 4 to use with my "C" line and need a cable to hook it
up. Can anyone tell me where to buy one. A friend told me it is a special cable
and not just a piece of mini 8 coax with rca jacks on each end. Any help
