Many thanks to all who kindly replied with helpful information on the
finish of their MN-2000s. The case will be on its way to Hartzell
Manufacturing later in the week and I think I'll ask them to put on a
B-Line epoxy finish for authenticity, since my serial number is in the
28xx range.

The MN-2000 came in all three of the Drake 4 Series finishes. It came
out in 1966, two years before the advent of the B-Line with it's epoxy

My MN-2000 with original paint has the rough surface paint.

Hi Mike,
I have 3three MN-2000s. They have a slightly textured finish similar the the
B and C lines and the L-4B. I would classify a smooth finish as the one on
the A line.
