You can connect an non - Drake balun for a
lot less money. I used and Amidon 4:1 kit with my MN-4C tuner.

The B-1000 was apparently sold in such small quantities that today it
brings prices all out of proportion to it's value and original price of
$24
Yes, the balun mounts on the back of the Drake tuners for use with balanced lines. When they come available, they're very expensive, in comparison to their original cost, what you paid for your Drake tuner and the cost to homebrew a replacement.

Does anyone have any information on the B-1000 balun? It was
intended, I believe, to be mounted on the back panel of the 7 line of antenna
tuners. Are they available anywhere? I have not run across one on the
usual sources or E-Pray.
