I modified my former TR-4C into a TR-4CW. I bought the modification set inclusive cw filter in the US while i was on a visit. Modification was simple and quickly done. I recently bid for a TR-4Cw/RIT on ebay. I didn't meet the reserve price so that rig was not been selled. I've asked to the owner how much he was expecting. He said 2500-3000 USD. I think it is too much considering the (technical) value of this rig over the TR-4C. Maybe one can easily modify a spare TR-4C to retrofit the missed CW filter and RIT. I say a spare one considering that in this case you loose the real value of the TR-4C. I like to know the opinion of an expert of you.
