Better think about using your two-node DRBD as a iSCSI portal for the virtual
machines. Your can set this up with three nodes making the virtual machines
free moveable between all nodes in the cluster.

performance of the drives if the bottleneck and not thethroughput of the
interfaces. At least not in our tests with 6 x 15k SAS drives in a RAID5 array
and a 2 Gbit bond.

I don't know about DRBD. But you can configure your syslog that it writes these
messages to another file.
