(II) I810(0): [dri] Unable to allocate backbuffer memory. Disabling DRI.
Hi,
I use RedHat 9 with a custom compiled 2.4.21-rc4 and the latest DRI

But DIR doesn't seem to work with my i810 chipset. I'm attaching my
'dmesg' and 'XFree86.0.log'. Any help would be nice. :)

Don't worry about it, shit happens. ;) I fixed a couple of things that I
came across, and I'm doing a quick onceover through CVS web to
double-check. Great work with the documentation, btw.
One minor issue I had: Can we keep the emacs mode magic for the drm files:

Sorry about that. I merged everything manually using a visual diff util
to prevent that this happened, and compiled everything after and
corrected the errors, but still failed.

Looks like the change to drm_os_linux.h that removed the argument from the
DRM_*MEMORYBARRIER() macros was reverted with the documentation merge. I
just checked in a fix.

AFAIK, it is supported by recent kernels. You just need to use
'agp_try_unsupported=1' when you insmod / modprobe agpgart.o.
