i have tried several of latest patches from dave airlies git tree, without
success. is this a problem of the hardware (Thinkpad X61s)? with Fedora 11
(Kernel 2.6.29) KMS Work
I'm planning to merge this to master soon. It's still pretty raw, but
at this point it will run gears and most of the basic demos. It
shares a lot of the common radeon code so I'd like to get it merged
sooner rather than later to avoid the need to constantly keep it up to
date with the latest cha

thank you for this patch, i have tried this, but ih the same error. there are
other patches to let modesetting work with 2.6.31-rc3? kernel is compiled
against uclibc-0.9.30.1

It looks like Dave Airlie already has a similar NULL fix, it should get into
mainline when Linus pulls to DRM tree ..

I added an vbetool dpms off / on cycle in the startup-scripts, after that the
screen displays the right content. Would it be possible (as a workaround for my
laptop) to do the same at kms
