Yep, that's what I was referring to, but apparently 4.0.1 has been merged
(as was p
You need to compile DRI mesa-4-0-branch alongside mesa_4_0_branch from
Mesa3d. You'll also need to specify your current X libs. Add this to your
host.def:
#define LdPreLib -L$(BUILDLIBDIR) -L$(USRLIBDIR) -L/usr/X11R6/lib/

This has occurred quite often for me as well in running the setup program.
I suspected a corrupt download (?!) and kept re-downloading a fresh copy
until one version finally worked. Didn't dig deep to find the root of the
problem, though.

The StarOffice 6.0 beta works just fine here on X 4.1.0[.1, it's a Debian
sid package, 4.1.0-9].

Actually I just bypassed it by putting in a #define in host.def (thanks
[EMAIL PROTECTED]) and a few extra twiddles, and it compiled and installed just
fine. Thanks.

Hi folks,
I'm attempting to incorporate DRI's mesa-4-0-branch into my
current X 4.1.0.1 (Debian sid from X 4_1 branch) setup but am running
into difficulties. I checked out the mesa-4-0-branch and created the build
tree as the DRI compilation guide instructed (which btw is rather
!current,
I believe Mike Harris said he has 2D working, but 3D's up in the air...?

I have had the absolute worst luck getting any Rage128 or Radeon-based ATI
card to work on my Asus A7V (Via Apollo Pro KT133 chipset), but the
unofficial FAQ on bork-DCC in #dri on OpenProjects notes that there are
tremendous problems with "early Via chipsets," which I guess the KT133
falls under
