I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I did try setting
RADEON_NO_VTXFMT and it worked just fine. The images look good and
performance is good.

You might get better results using that driver by setting the
RADEON_NO_VTXFMT or RADEON_TCL_FORCE_DISABLE environment variables.
