Hi, sorry if I bother you. I have a laptop with a ATI Rage Mobility (mach64 chip), with Debian unstable, xfree 4.3 and kernel 2.6.3.
I added daenzer's package repository to my sources.list ( http://people.debian.org/~daenzer/dri-mach64-unstable/ ) and installed the mach64 patched packages to enable DRI support and XV. The drm-modules didn't compile (due i think to 2.6 kernel), so i patched it again with John Flinchbaugh's patch ( http://www.hjsoft.com/blog/link/Mach64_DRI_on_Linux_2.6 ). Everything seemed to work well (xv and dri) but if i switch to console (ctrl+alt+f*) after "some random" minutes after starting xfree, it crashes: (Fatal server error: -Caught signal 11). If i don't switch, everything is good I tried to search, but i didn't find any hint. I hope you could help me.
