What for?  At least RedHat, and I'm fairly certain SuSE offer libc
'compat' RPMs.  You may need to spelunk the older distros for the libc5
stuff, but it does work and you can even build for older installations (my
firewall is LRP based).

PS - I've had excellent luck playing DOS games via DOSemu.
