Hello Jens:

I am working on porting an OpenGL driver from windows to Linux.
I find your message (03 Jun.) in dri-devel is great helpful to me.
But I still have some questions:

>DRI Resource Mgmt commands flow:
> Protocol Decode
> DRI
> DRM Driver (Not show, but should be where Kernel DRI Module is)

1. Your said DRI can not do direct rendering by GLX pass, so
through Xserver we can not do direct rendering now. Then,
How we show add dri support to DDX driver? And what can
the DRI extension and the DRI aware DDX driver do for 3D
   rendering now?

>DRI Resource Mgmt commands flow:
> Protocol Decode
> DRI
> DRM Driver (Not show, but should be where Kernel DRI Module is)
2. Your had explain the DRI resource management commands flow in Xserver,
Could your explain the flow in Xclient?

Thank you very much for your kind help!

Regards,
Yue Kun
