SW: Linux Mandrake 8.1 fresh install install source RPM (kernel 2.4.8 Xfree 4.1 with 3d acceleration) download: radeon-20020409-i386-Linux.tar.gz run install script as root No problems reported startx no problems Although to get it to "take" a shutdown (reboot) seems to be neccessary.
